Corona Giken range of STtuve III Bacterial Self-Test Kits

Corona Giken produces  the STtuve III which has been designed specifically for the testing of surfaces for bacterial contamination. The STtuve III can be used for the implementation and maintenance of HACCP in a manufacturing environment or it can be used to minimise the risk of microbial contamination in food processing or food preparation areas.

STtuve III is a single use fully self contained product and features an 18 month shelf life from the date of manufacture.

The STtuve III is available in four versions for the detection of:
 
  • Staphylococcus aureus1
  • Coliforms/Escherichia coli2
  • Vibrio parahaemolyticus
  • Salmonella species
 
Note 1: When testing for S. aureus, an additional one hour incubation with 4MUP is required. The presence of S. aureus is confirmed if fluorescence under UV light occurs
Note 2: A colour change indicates the presence of coliforms. The presence of E. coli is confirmed if fluorescence under UV light occurs.
HOW TO FIND CORONA GIKEN PRODUCTS:
By clicking on the next to "Price List" under the "Product/Applications Areas" links below, you will be taken to "Online Ordering" and a list of all Corona Giken products will be generated within the selected "Product/Application Area". From there the search can be further refined by selecting a "Product Group" and clicking on "Guided Search".

Alternatively, go directly to Online Ordering for a list of all Corona Giken products which can then be similarly searched by "Application Area" and then by "Product Group".

What makes STtuve III Bacterial Self-Test Unique?
Each STtuve III is a fully self contained unit consisting of a sterile swab, selective liquid culture media and a sanitising solution. Testing a surface for bacterial contamination is:
     
  • SIMPLE - swab, incubate and observe the colour change
  • ACCURATE - the selective culture media ensure optimal growth of the bacterium of interest
  • QUICK - results available in 12 to 24 hours
     
The entire process is done in-house and does not require a microbiologist or a laboratory. Once the STtuve III has been used, the sanitising solution is released and the product can be disposed of safely without the need for autoclaving.
